What you are about to start is not the usual survey where you are asked for answers in order to acquire data for various purposes: demographic, commercial, trend surveys.
What is UDrive4Me the Platform
Drive4Me the Platform is, as the name says, You Drive for Me, you drive for me or on my behalf, a platform on which we will accompany you with a learning path that will develop on a structure made of questions, answers, content to get to our goal: to allow you to form an authoritative information to get to the moment when you sit in an autonomous vehicle with awareness.
We are convinced that correct information is the best antidote for suspicion, fear and, therefore, rejection.
But what is the autonomous vehicle?
The autonomous vehicle or AV (acronym that makes it easier for us to read), is a car, a van, a truck, a bus if not also a motorcycle that does not need the active presence of a human being to move. But then, how does it move? It will be the brain of the vehicle with the system of algorithms that will provide to drive for us.
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
We will find out as we go along in the platform.
How does UDrive4Me the Platform work?
The UDrive4Me Platform is divided into general themes or Sections such as Safety, Acceptance, Social, Artificial Intelligence etc. etc. with questions that you will be asked for each theme.
In each group of questions, you will be offered video content, photos, text, links or even tests that will give you an effective representation of the topic we are addressing.
The sections are not binding and you do not have to go through all of them, but you can choose the topics that interest you the most and you can also go back later, if we have succeeded in stimulating your curiosity, and go through the sections you skipped.
Do I have to see all the multimedia content that will be offered?
No, you will be able to choose whether to open the video, the photo, the text or the link that we will propose but, believe me, by doing so you can better understand what is behind what you don’t know or think you don’t know about the autonomous vehicle.

What use will you make of my answers?

Actually, the purpose of UDrive4Me the Platform is not purely statistical to collect and process data but to offer an opportunity to increase your knowledge on the topic of autonomous driving in order to reach an awareness that will facilitate the acceptance of this new technology.
The data collected, so your answers and your personal data, will then be used to better define future developments of autonomous driving.
Who will my data and answers be useful to?
Knowing the level of knowledge, acceptance if not also the fears of those who will be the end user of the autonomous vehicle will certainly be useful to those who must regulate both nationally and internationally the industry, the vehicle manufacturer, the programmer of the algorithm system, the manager of the road that the autonomous vehicle will travel to the insurance company that will cover any damage and many others.
Will UDrive4Me the Platform be diffused only in Italy?
No, UDrive4Me the Platform is proposed by PIARC World Road Association which has members in 124 countries around the world. So, it will be offered, translated into various languages, in some of these countries as well.
Is UDrive4Me the Platform aimed at a specific age group?
No, anyone of any age, ethnicity, gender, social and economic status will be able to use the autonomous vehicle so everyone is interested in UDrive4Me the Platform.
How long will it take me to complete the course?
It depends on you, if you want to get into all the informative content offered or just answer the questions but it will not be as fun and useful in this case. 5 minutes in the second case and as long as you want in the first.
You can also proceed at different times over several days depending on how much time you can devote to it.
